Hydrogen Week UK back by popular demand!

Not only has it been a whole year since we launched the UK’s first official Hydrogen Week, but we’ve just pressed the button on Hydrogen Week mark two!  The 2024 initiative promises to be even bigger and better than ever, with many previous sponsors and partners already on board.

The first event, spearheaded by our client the North West Hydrogen Alliance, was an awareness raising campaign resulting in over 6,300 individuals and 110 partners and supporters taking part.

Rebecca Eatwell, Managing Director at Font Comms, said: “It was so impactful to deliver a campaign that allowed people to get creative and contribute their view, expertise and examples of how the UK can be a major force in the global hydrogen industry. Last year saw businesses, local groups and schools from across the UK take part with an array of events, podcasts, exhibitions, reports and educational initiatives. Not to mention, rocket launches, VR workshops and buggy racing!”

Team Font really got behind it too, curating the whole event, from securing partners and sponsors, speaker recruitment and venue sourcing, to graphic design, drafting press releases, liaising with media outlets and most importantly bringing the ideas to life.

All of our hard work paid off though, with a really successful event that people are still talking about and are enthusiastic to get involved in again this year. What’s more, we’ve even been nominated for an PRide Award for ‘Best Environmental Campaign’.

2024 is set to be an important year again for hydrogen, and incentives like this are really showing their worth as we take important steps to protect our planet, decarbonise our societies and reach that all-important net zero target.
